Off the Ball's John Duggan took a break from World Cup duty to visit Russia's only GAA club, Moscow Shamrocks.
Recognised by Croke Park, the Moscow Shamrocks are a relatively new club which train on the grounds of Russian Premier League champions Lokomotiv Moscow.
Aisling Kinsella spoke to our wandering reporter about her time in the Russian capital and what the club has done to help her settle into her new surroundings: "I'm currently secretary of the club and Ladies club officer - it's just fantastic to hear you say that, 'Moscow Shamrocks' - the only Gaelic team in Russia.
"We're very lucky to be here training on a Sunday morning, in the midst of many World Cup fans as well who have come to join us for the day.
"I come from Carlow, I lived in Bahrain in the Middle East for a few years but then I wanted to take a bit of a challenge so I chose to come to Moscow and do some teaching and this is my second and final year, I have a few weeks left.
"I joined the Gaelic Football team here in Moscow as soon as I arrived - it's been a great little family and community outside my work life and it's great that I get to soak up the World Cup atmosphere in the next few weeks as well.
"It's what has made Moscow much easier for me. It was quite tough - it was a challenge at the start moving over here, especially with the language barrier.
"I moved into a building and not one person spoke English in the building, let alone my area so when I reached out to Moscow Shamrocks they were welcoming with open arms so it was just great to have friends and a family automatically," she added.
