Mathias 'Zanka' Jorgensen was part of a Denmark defence that kept a clean sheet against Ireland as both sides drew 0-0 in the UEFA Nations League.
The Huddersfield Town defender was also part of the side that thrashed Ireland 5-1 last November in the 2018 World Cup playoff, before going to the tournament in Russia and helping his country reach the last-16.
The 28-year-old Copenhagen native also scored in the tense clash against eventual finalists Croatia in the early stages before the latter equalised and then advanced on penalties.
On Sunday at the Denmark team hotel mixed zone, he took time out to chat to me on Team 33 about all those matters as well as the experience of taking on Ireland striker Shane Long at the Aviva Stadium and the challenge of keeping Huddersfield in the Premier League for a second season.
And we started off by touching on the origin of his nickname 'Zanka' which comes from the movie Cool Runnings and a story from his childhood.
