Ian Rush has said that today's video of Sean Cox saying 'thank you' will give the players competing in his charity match a 'massive lift.'
Rush is in town to participate in the Sean Cox charity match between a Republic of Ireland XI and a Liverpool XI at the Aviva tomorrow night - you can get your tickets and support here.
"Sometimes [the family's battle] goes unnoticed. Every time I have met Martina, she has been very positive. She is so strong, but it must be so difficult for her because she is by his side morning, noon and night.
"If she wasn't like that, Sean wouldn't be in the position that he is in today because she has been giving him strength by saying 'you can do it.'
"He needs that support. We are here supporting him by playing the game but, as a player, that is the easy thing for us. The hardest thing is his family, the Sean Cox foundation and the work that goes on behind the scenes.

"The video that was posted up this morning was absolutely amazing, and that is what is going to give the players a massive lift. It just goes to show that with all the hard work, good things can happen."
Rush also believes that Liverpool FC have been perfectly-placed to provide support to Sean's family, and believes that they are a 'family' organisation.
"At Liverpool, we do see ourselves as a special club. We see ourselves as one big family, and when a family member gets hurt you have to help them.
"I would like to think that any other club would do the same. I would like to see people at the game tomorrow - not just Liverpool supporters - because it could happen to their club and you would hope that they would help out."
You can buy tickets to Sean's charity match here, and donate to his rehabilitation fund here.
