Paul McGrath would part ways with Paul Pogba if he was in charge of Manchester United.
The Ireland legend was speaking as part of our panel at The Alex Hotel in association with FreeNow Business.
The iconic centre-back gave his take on the situation at his former club as they struggle to rebuild.
"Paul Pogba seems to live in a world of his own," said McGrath.
"I'd have him out of the club"
"He thinks he can run Manchester United because he's so powerful and this, that and the other. And he can't.
"They're idiots if they let it happen anyway. I'd have him out of the club."
McGrath feels ability is not enough to warrant a place at the club.
"I think he's a fabulous footballer. That's the problem I have with him," he continued.
"He's so young and he is a fabulous footballer. But he's concentrating on so many other things like silver watches and whatever watches he gets from whichever people.
"But he should be concentrating on playing football because he's a good footballer.
"And if he concentrated on football, Manchester United would fly up the league."
McGrath cited his own experience at United when Alex Ferguson sold him and Norman Whiteside.
"He was brilliant to get rid of the two he did - myself and Norman," he said to gales of laughter from the audience.
McGrath also talked about the "laziness" he saw from the Man United players last season.
"You can see people jogging back. If I was on the pitch on a Saturday, I gave it my all."
Jamie Heaslip, Cliodhna O'Connor and Andy Lee were also part of the Off The Ball panel alongside Paul McGrath at the Alex Hotel. You can watch the full panel on Saturday, July 6th across our social channels.
