Ronan O'Gara has been taking his coaching odyssey across the rugby world from France and now to New Zealand.
But he was back in Ireland and Munster on Thursday night as he took pride of place at our Roadshow at University Concert Hall, Limerick in association with Heineken Rugby Club alongside Brian O'Driscoll and Keith Wood.
So we got an opportunity to catch up with ROG on his development as a coach and some stories from his time breaking records at out half with Ireland and Munster.
But has he got his eyes on one day returning to these shores to either coach within the Irish setup or his native province?
You can watch the full show back on YouTube:
"Seeing those moments in red and green, of course you're going to. If it's your home place, you'd love to do well because you can potentially rekindle that connection with the supporters and get that fortress going," he said.
"You look at the Limerick hurlers this year and I was in Kerry but I was in tears watching it, kind of going, 'Is there something wrong with me?'
"I think there's something beautiful about Irish sport on a day like that and obviously they know where they're coming from but to an outsider this is quite amazing."
And would he one day like to link up with his former Ireland and Munster team-mate Paul O'Connell - currently forwards coach at Stade Francais - on a future coaching ticket?
"There's a lot of big ifs in there. I would obviously enjoy it because Paul is a perfectionist and he has a brilliant outlook on the game. So would it work? In my eyes, yes of course," said O'Gara.
But he also added tantalisingly, "It would be interesting in years to come to work with Paul, yeah."
And he also feels they have "similar hunger" and potential common ground in regards to their philosophies on the game.
Meanwhile, before ROG's arrival in Limerick, O'Driscoll shared his thoughts on how he expects the Heineken Champions Cup to play out:
He also analysed Munster's changes and how Joey Carbery and Tadhg Beirne can have an impact on how the province play the game:
