As always on OTB AM we bring you the best of the backpage headlines every morning, and today's papers were anything but light.
Joining Ger in the co-host hot seat this morning was Kevin Kilbane, and the pair discussed:
Man City winger and PFA Young Player of the Year Leroy Sane has been left out of the German national squad for this summer's World Cup. One of Pep Guardiola's favourite attacking threats has been omitted by head coach Joachim Low, with reports saying the decision came down to a poor attitude displayed by the former Schalke winger.
That's not the only link Man City or Pep have to the backpages today, with Yaya Toure waiting all of two weeks since leaving the club on a free transfer to accuse his former manager of having problems with African players.
Diarmuid Connolly has been linked to move to the USA for the summer with the two-time all-Star expected to continue to absence from the Dublin football set-up. While one player of his quality would be a huge miss, Dublin will now be without more panel members following the decision of four players to opt-put of the squad in favour of a summer abroad.
The GAA have decided to review the Hawkeye system following the award of a non-existent goal to Tipperary in their Munster Hurling Championship victory over Waterford last weekend.
All that and more in this morning's backpages. Remember, you can watch OTB AM from 7:45 every weekday morning on our Facebook, YouTubeand Periscope channels. If you would like to see more sporting videos, like and subscribe any of our pages or log onto offtheball.com.
