John Giles doubts Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino can turn things around with the way things are at Spurs.
Last night, The Sun's Martin Lipton told Off The Ball about the issues at play in North London.
Spurs were unable to sell a number of key players that Pochettino wanted to part with.
It has led to a sense of discontent at Tottenham, with the manager seemingly ill at ease with the situation.
And it has clearly translated to the pitch where they have made a stuttering start to the Premier League and Champions League season.
Colchester United also knocked out in the League Cup on Tuesday night.
Not Right
Ireland and Leeds legend Giles joined us always on a Thursday and gave his take on the issue.
"I don't think he can turn it around unless the chairman goes with what he wants to," he said.
"The chairman has done a great job building the stadium and all the various things. But he's ignored what's happening on the pitch.
"Pochettino has to get right on the pitch with the right ideas and the backing of the chairman.
"He's not getting that. He hasn't got that for the last few years."
John continued: "It's not right. And if it's not right at that level, it's not right all the way down. You have players like Eriksen and that who are out of contract and who were going to go. You can't commit yourselves to the club, like in Eriksen's case, if he knows that he's going to be leaving. Everybody knows he wants to leave."
He added that it has a detrimental effect on team spirit and that "it's definitely not right at Spurs".
