Gareth Bale's time at Real Madrid appears to be coming to an end despite helping his side win their third successive Champions League trophy in Kiev at the weekend.
Bale scored twice in the second half after coming on as a substitute - one a stunning bicycle kick - to help the Spanish giants to a 3-1 win over Liverpool.
The Welshman has been in and out of the team over the past season due to injury and has a fractious relationship with Zinedine Zidane - who apparently didn't speak to Bale for three hours after the match.
His future has been the source of much speculation over the last few months with possible suitors including Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, this Madrid side have completed a remarkable achievement by winning the Champions League for three successive seasons and Bale has been a pivotal part of the squad.
"They are the greatest team of this generation - the greatest team since the 1970s," Ger told Eoin on Monday's OTB AM, "It's weird to say that but they are the best football team since the 1970s. They've won three European Cups in a row - it is a sensational achievement - unparalleled.
"They are better than the Milan team of the Arrigo Saachi era. They are as good of any of the Bayern or Ajax teams and they're getting close enough to probably being considered as good as the original Real Madrid team."
