Gary Breen: FAI drama will put pressure on John Delaney

Gary Breen believes that further disruption in the Irish camp or two losses against the Danes and Welsh will put pressure on FAI chief executive John Delaney:

"More often than not what you see at club level certainly and I’ve experienced it with managers that have got sacked, is that initially supporters are on the players. Then they turn on the manager as such, and the chairman still backs the manager but then when the supporters start to turn on the chairman."

"That’s when you see decisions being made. I think there is a lot of talk now of pressure going on Delaney. It terms of how he’s handling this situation he may be pressured into making a decision," the 63-cap international told Off The Ball.

"All this drama, it's a bit embarrassing really, in terms of other countries looking on at what's happening. It's a nonsense really," Breen added.

Last night, Martin O'Neill saw the positive side of Ireland's 1-1 draw in WrocÅ‚aw:

"We played exceptionally well and should have won the game. We defended very strongly. We tried to play as well as them and we succeeded.... We needed that. We are judged on performances and results. The players responded brilliantly."
