As Mayo look to close a 66 year gap since their last All Ireland title, the task is the same as they faced last year: Topple an outstanding Dublin side.
Mayo ran Jim Gavin's team close last year but Stephen Rochford's side missed by the narrowest of margins in the replay last October.
But while Mayo have improved both individually and collectively since then, so have a Dublin that side that were already imperious.
Sean Cavanagh knows that all too well with Tyrone unable to lay a glove on Dublin three weeks ago in the All Ireland semi final.
It would be Cavanagh's last inter-county game and today he joined us on our Saturday Panel at Aviva Stadium in association with Benetti Menswear.
Alongside former Mayo midfielder David Brady, Donegal's Ryan McHugh and Kerry's David Moran, Cavanagh explained what happened in Tyrone's defeat to the Dubs and what can be learned from it.
"I think Mayo will have to go for Dublin on Sunday. We did sit back. We allowed them to play, we maybe gave them too much respect. But they controlled proceedings against us. I think Mayo are going to have to go and bring as much intensity as they possibly can," he said.
"But the problem with that is you're burning energy and I'm not sure Mayo has the same impact subs coming off the bench because if a game's in the melting pot on 40 minutes tomorrow, which we all hope it is, Dublin will introduce [Diarmuid] Connolly and it'll be huge. It will be a Peter Canavan in '03 moment where the crowd will go mad and Dublin will get a lift. Dublin live off that energy. It comes from the Hill and then five minutes later they could introduce Brogan and five minutes later Macauley and all of a sudden you've that blue wave coming at you and that's where Dublin just might see the game out."
