Did Tottenham pull off 'Mission Impossible' or did Barca let them off the hook?

Tottenham pulled off what their manager called 'Mission Impossible' last night after recording a 1-1 draw in the Nou Camp against Barcelona.

The point, along with Inter Milan's home draw against PSV, was enough to send Mauricio Pochettino's side through to the last 16 - despite picking up only one point from their first three games.

However, the feat has been called into question, after the home side fielded a weakened side on Wednesday.

Andy Mitten joined Wedneday's OTB AM to discuss the performance, telling Eoin: "Spurs were excellent last night but they were playing a Barca team who, when I looked at the team sheets, my eyes were drawn immediately not to the Tottenham team or the Barcelona team but the Barcelona bench which featured Gerard Pique, Lionel Messi, Arturo Vidal, Sergio Busquets, André ter Stegen and I Tweeted that this was an attempt at the world's greatest 6-a-side team.

"However, there was still great players in the Barcelona team. I think two of the players - Coutinho and Dembele - cost twice as much as the entire Tottenham team but Tottenham were really good.

"Barca went ahead through Dembele, and Dembele who I'm watching most weeks now, and he's fast becoming one of the best players in Spain. There's problems with him, in turning up to training late but he's prodigiously talented.

"What struck me was, Spurs really went for Barcelona, which was a really brave thing to do and I remember Alex Ferguson saying: 'My dream has always been to have a team good enough to go to Barcelona away and to attack them' and he finally had that in 1998/99 when Manchester United drew 3-3 against a Barcelona of Rivaldo and Figo and that too was an incredible United performance - it was a great performance by an English team but Tottenham got stronger as the game went on.

"I thought Christian Eriksen did very well, I thought Harry Kane had a very good chance to equalise, I thought son did very well," he added.
