The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup group stage comes to an end on Thursday.
All the favourites have qualified for the knockout stages, among the 16 teams that have advanced from the six groups.
There have been plenty of goals and exciting games. But there has also been controversy.
Off The Bench discussed some of those off-field matters on this week's podcast and one relates to satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
Sports journalist Marie Crowe and our own Sue Murphy joined Cliona Foley to discuss.
Cover Controversy
"The Charlie Hebdo front cover - now, it is a satirical magazine and a polemic magazine that gives out about everybody - but the cover, would you believe, was a vagina with a football inside in it," Cliona Foley explained.
"And the headline was 'Women's World Cup: We will eat it for a month.'"
Marie shared her reaction to the controversial image and cover.
"I had to click off it. I saw somebody tweet, 'I've just seen the cover' and I searched it," she said.
"And I had to click off it and I kind of sat back for a minute and tried to get my thoughts together:
"'It is a satirical magazine, let's give them the benefit of the doubt'. But then I said, 'You know what?' We're trying to have something positive here and football is a positive thing.
"Girls playing football is a great thing and the Women's World Cup, everyone watching it is brilliant. But [the cover] was so negative."
