With the inter-county GAA season done and dusted, the International Rules Series takes centre stage for the 21 players who will be jetting Down Under in November.
Weeks on from Mayo's All Ireland final loss to Dublin, Aidan O'Shea shifts focus to his role as captain of the Ireland team that travels to Australia for the matches in Adelaide and Perth next month.
There are no Dublin players in the travelling party and that was one thing that Oisin put to O'Shea as the Mayo player spoke at the International Rules Series announcement.
For the Breaffy club man, who will be among a contingent of four Mayo players including Brendan Harrison, Chris Barrett and AFL based Pearce Hanley, he could see the reasons why Dublin players may have decided to sit out the 2017 series.
"Obviously Dublin are All Ireland champions. I know from our own boys in Mayo, guys have a lot of legacy injuries and they struggle to get through games at times, some of them with injuries throughout the summer," he said.

"To add on another month, maybe two months into their season, I can understand from a Dublin perspective and from people who had long summer seasons that whether it be injuries, work, everything else, it's hard to commit to everything - especially with boys who are involved in club football as well, it is difficult."
He added that for him, there had been no doubt in regards to his involvement.
"I had the opportunity to go and work were okay with me going and it's definitely something I wanted to do," he said.
