Zlatan Ibrahimovic has published an encouraging injury update after undergoing knee surgery for serious ligament damage.
The Man United striker has been ruled out for the rest of this season after he sustained the injury during his side's Europa League victory over Anderlecht last month.
The Swede underwent surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and has started his recovery from the injury.
His current deal with United comes to an end this summer, with some speculating that his future at the club could be in doubt given the severity of his injury.
United manager Jose Mourinho is hopeful that Ibrahimovic will make a comeback, but has conceded that the rehabilitation period will be 'really, really hard' for the 35-year-old.
Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola released a statement saying that the United forward has not suffered a career-ending injury, and insisted that he will make a 'full recovery.'
Ibrahimovic has reiterated that stance today in a post on his Instagram account, saying that he is feeling stronger following the procedure.
Fixed, done and stronger. Once again thank you for the support. We will enjoy my game togheter soon
