Ireland goalkeeper Darren Randolph admits there may well come a time when he will be forced to leave West Ham in search of regular first-team football.
But for now, that time hasn’t come according to the player, with a determination to fight for his place.
The Irish No 1 has seen action in cup competitions at club level, but is behind Spanish keeper Adrian at West Ham when it comes to regular league games.
Speaking at Wednesday’s press conference before Saturday’s match against Austria, Randolph says something could happen in the distant future if the frustration builds up.
"Yeah, there will be a time when it does come along. I don’t think anyone’s just sitting and not play," he said.

"But for the time being, I’m going to stick at it. I’ve only been there a season. It’s the start of my second season. I’m not just going to give up and leave and walk away from a challenge. I’m going to keep going and see what happens."
He also spoke about the frightening episode which saw Hammers team-mate Andy Carroll recently targeted by armed robbers.
"He obviously left [training] first and a lot of us had to go the same way to get back home. So everyone stuck around for a little bit longer just in case. It's obviously not nice for him and not nice to hear about for anybody," he said.
Ipswich forward David McGoldrick admits the absence of Shane Long and Daryl Murphy through injury and the retirement of Robbie Keane means there is a greater chance of him seeing on-field action in Vienna and future squads.
"It was a low for me not making the final cut for the squad. But I’ve got to get my head down. I’ve had a few injuries at the start of the season, missed a few trips so I’ve got to impress in training. There’s a few strikers injured for this trip so you never know, I could get a few minutes or make the bench at the weekend, so I’ve got to impress in training and let him know what I can do," he said, adding that it’s been a "stop-start two years" because of regular injury setbacks.
