Just over 47 hours after a bomb attack outside the Manchester Arena, Manchester United attempted to bring a smile back to the people of the city 1,400 kilometres away.
Jose Mourinho's side won the Europa League for the first time in the club's history. A deflected strike from Paul Pogba and a goal from Henrikh Mkhitaryan gave the team a 2-0 win against Ajax.
With all that happened in Manchester in the previous days, the team and players made sure to remember everyone back home and dedicate the victory to the city and its people.
