Aside from what now appears to be a blip at Burnley, Liverpool have started the season in impressive form, beating Arsenal, Leicester and Chelsea to date in a tough run of fixtures.
Most recently, they overcame Hull, a team who also had a bright start to the season, and made their dominance count with a 5-1 win.
It wasn't only the supporters who were impressed by that ability to convert their chances and press high to put an opposition's back line under pressure, as the bookies decided that Jurgen Klopp's side are now the second favourites to claim the title.
Speaking on Monday Night Football alongside Jamie Carragher and Dave Jones, Klopp was presented with the odds which showed Manchester City as heavy favourites, but Liverpool right behind them at 5/1 to lift the Premier League trophy.
With a note of sarcasm, Klopp said "I'm so happy. I don't understand even the numbers, what does it mean?".
When it was outlined that it meant he was right behind Pep Guardiola's team in the pecking order to win the biggest prize in English football, he was somewhat skeptical of his team's chances, noting that he's not a betting man.
"To be honest, I never did something like this [betting] even one time in my life, Where I come from you keep your money, you don't do something like this. It's not important for me."

After Carragher expressed his shock at the fact that Klopp has never had a flutter, the Liverpool boss continued, stating that he was pleased with the atmosphere at the club.
"It's better, too, that we have something like an optimisitc mood around. At this moment, Liverpool feels good, that's how it is. [The fans] saw us play, we had this very, very important game against Hull, where everybody said before 'maybe this is the last real issue they have, they can't play against teams who defend deeper,' and we did it in a really impressive way."
However, he was keen to keep a lid on the growing expectations around the club, adding that: "Nothing happened, we did our job until now. We improved, of course, but that was important, we cannot say that we were together and not show it.
"I'm happy, but not fully happy or something. All good, but, it could be better."
