They may have lost 2-1 in Seattle, but Colorado Rapids still have an excellent chance of reaching their first MLS Cup final since 2010.
Republic of Ireland striker Kevin Doyle scored a crucial away goal in the first leg of their Western Conference Championship Final against the Seattle Sounders. Doyle scored the opening goal in the game, before the Sounders scored twice without reply.

The second leg takes place in Denver on Sunday evening at 9pm Irish time. The winners will meet either Toronto FC or Montreal Impact in the Final.
In the Eastern Conference Final first leg, Montreal won 3-2 at home in front of over 60,000 fans in the Olympic Stadium. The tie looked over early in the second half, after Montreal took a 3-0 lead, but Toronto scored twice in the final half hour, ahead of the second leg on Sunday.
If Doyle's Colorado Rapids advance to the MLS Cup Final, they will have home advantage on December 10th in the one-off match.
