Scoring on your debut is the dream scenario.
The prime example being Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford after he scored on his senior debut for the club earlier this year against FC Midtjylland. He then scored twice on his Premier League debut against Arsenal, on his England debut against Australia and notched a hat-trick on his debut for the England U21 side.
As your career wears on, opportunities like these are few and far between, so when your chance comes it's imperative you take it.
Tim Cahill did just that when he rifled home a half-volley on his debut for Melbourne City, 27 minutes into his A-League debut.
The ball fell kindly for the veteran Australian and his right footed strike swerved out of reach of goalkeeper Lawrence Thompson.

A superb strike. The only thing that makes it sweeter is the fact that it comes against their city rivals Melbourne Victory in this morning's Melbourne Derby.
