Vinny Perth hopes his success with Dundalk will spur on other managers coming up through the leagues.
The Dublin native, who took over from Stephen Kenny in January, after being his assistant for six years, guided the Lilywhites to their fifth SSE Airtricity Premier Division title in six years last night.
A 3-2 win over second-placed Shamrock Rovers at Oriel Park was enough for the reigning champions to win it with four games to go.
The former midfielder, who made 17 appearances for Dundalk in 2007, previously managed Malahide United and had a care-taker role with Longford Town.
At full time he spoke with Off the Ball's Jamie Moore; saying he hopes his success will be an example to aspiring managers.
"I was on the hill up in Sacred Heart not that many years ago coaching - when you're not a big name player you have to do it the hard way.
"It's great for young coaches and coaches at a lower level to say 'if that fella can do it maybe I can'.
"I hope it inspires a couple more coaches and ultimately it's about Irish football getting better.
"Like when I went to Malahide they'll look at that and say that could be a route for me as well.
"I hope this inspires, for want of a better word, other people to feel they can achieve ultimatly what I've achieved as manager of this club."
Perth is hopeful too that Dundalk's success this year won't stop here as they go for the treble.
Having already clinched the League Cup this summer, they face Sligo Rovers in the semi-finals of the FAI Cup on Sunday.
"I want the players to celebrate tonight, we have to enjoy these moments but we'll get back to work then tomorrow ahead of a big game on Sunday."
