The head of the Danish FA, and UEFA executive committee member, Jesper Møller expects Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester City to be kicked out of this season's Champions League.
Møller told a Danish newspaper that there is expected to be a meeting this coming Friday and will likely end with the remaining clubs being thrown out of this season's competition.
"There must be one extraordinary executive committee meeting on Friday. I have an expectation that the 12 clubs will be thrown out," Møller told DR Sports.
It is expected that the same rules would be applied to Manchester United and Arsenal as Europa League semi-finalists.
UEFA reaction
Earlier on Monday, UEFA president Alexander Ceferin berated those clubs that have made themselves available to the new league.
"I cannot stress more strongly UEFA and the footballing world are united against the disgraceful, self-serving proposals we have seen, fuelled purely by greed," Ceferin said.
"It’s a nonsense of a project.
"This idea is a spit in the face for all footballer lovers and our society. We will not allow them to take this away from us."
Ceferin focused his ire on the organisers of the Super League, suggesting that there are 'snakes in the grass'.
"Ed Woodward called me last Thursday evening saying that he was very satisfied with, and fully supported, the reforms [for the Champions League]," Ceferin said.
"The only thing he wanted to talk about was [Financial Fair Play], when obviously he had already signed something else."
Ceferin said that the now-former President of the European Clubs Association (ECA) Andrea Agnelli is 'the biggest disappointment of all', as Agnelli stepped down from his position on Monday.
"I have never seen a person that would lie so many times, so persistently," Ceferin said. "It is unbelievable.
"We didn't know we had snakes so close to us. Now we know.
"How can you see all your fans protesting and you don't care? You are full of money anyway, but you want more and more and more. I've had enough that football clubs are assets - they are part of our history."
