Transfer Talk: Sinclair is a hoop, no agreement between West Ham and Bacca and Vermaelen headed for Roma

With the Premier League less than a week away, there is increasing activity both confirmed and heavily speculated upon by teams all around Europe.

For starters, Scott Sinclair officially joins Celtic F.C on a four year deal following a failed spell at Aston Villa. The 27-year-old joins up with Rodgers, who made him one of his first signings at Swansea when he became manager of the club in 2010.

Carlos Bacca, a target for West Ham, reportedly could not agree to terms with the club having played for Sevilla and AC Milan. The Colombian appears to be earning wages outside of the London clubs wage structure and following a failed move for Diafro Sahko to West Brom, Slaven Bilic might have to make do with what he has to start the league unless a club can be found for Sahko and the Croatian manager can find a suitable striker to replace him.

They are also reportedly very close to signing Andre Ayew from Swansea but nothing official has been confirmed by either club.

In more international news, the Barcelona man who has made 11 appearances for the club, scored one goal and won seven major honours is on his way to AS Roma. Thomas Vermaelen is leaving the Camp Nou after falling out of favour with Luis Enrique and just needs to pass a medical with the Italian club (that might be a problem) before a move.

Also, Swansea have officially unveiled Fernando Llorente and are very close to signing Borja Baston for a reported fee of £18 million from Atletico Madrid.
