Transfer Talk: Shane Duffy set to end Blackburn nightmare

There's 12 days to go in the Transfer Window, meaning there's still plenty on time for some Transfer Talk.

Republic of Ireland and Blackburn Rovers defender Shane Duffy has not had the best start to his season. A red card, three own-goals and a rejected new contract, means that the Derry defender has had better weeks at the Ewood Park club.

It looks like he is set for the exit-door and move south to Brighton and Hove Albion. The Seagulls are unbeaten after their opening three games and are top of the table on seven points.

The Daily Mail claim that manager Chris Hughton is interested in one of the stars of Ireland's Euro 2016 campaign. He will be expected to cost around £4million.

Joe Hart's exit from Manchester City has moved a step closer, with the news that Ajax goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen is to join Barcelona.

The Dutch goalkeeper's move to the Catalan city is significant, due to Pep Guardiola's interest in Claudio Bravo. The Daily Mirror report that the Chilean goalkeeper will move to Manchester for nearly £18million.

Sunderland are set to offer a new contract to Everton target Lamine Kone. The Ivory Coast international only joined David Moyes' side in January, but he has gained the attention on Ronald Koeman.

Despite signing a four-year contract, The Sun have revealed that he is to be offered a new £50,000-per-week contract to keep him at the Stadium of Light.

Kone's new contract could spell the end at Sunderland for Younes Kaboul. The Guardian claim that the former Totthenham defender is to return to London and join Walter Mazzarri's Watford.

The former France international wants to be based in the English capital for personal reasons.
