Transfer Talk: Schweinsteiger to lead Manchester United clearout

World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger is to be the biggest casualty under Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho's new regime.

The German international joined United at the start of last season, but it looks like his stay will be a short one. The Daily Mail have reported that along with players like Northern Ireland international Paddy McNair and Adnan Januzaj, Mourinho will listen to offers as he looks to reduce his squad down to 24 players.

Gonzalo Higuain's move to Juventus, could pave the way for his new team-mate Mario Mandzukic to move to London. The Sun claim that the Croatian international is now at the top of Arsene Wenger's summer shopping list.

Wenger has confirmed that he is on the lookout for a striker, and Mandzukic looks like the best choice for Arsenal, after bids for Lyon striker Anthony Lacazette have been repeatedly rejected.

Just as Jose Mourinho is doing at Old Trafford, Pep Guardiola is looking to revitalise his team by selling some of his star players. The Manchester City manager is struggling to do so though, due to the high transfer valuations of the players.

Wilfried Bony, Yaya Toure, Jesus Navas and Aleksandar Kolarov are all set to leave the Eithad Stadium, but the Daily Mirror are reporting that the quartet's high valuations are putting off suitors. Bony is the player currently garnering most interest from other clubs.

They have already lost N'Golo Kante, and could potentially see Riyad Mahrez leave the club, but Andy King is set to sign a new deal with Premier League champions Leicester City.

The Wales international has won League 1, The Championship and Premier League-winners medals with the club. The Daily Star state that the 27-year-old will sign a four-year deal with the club.
