Transfer Talk: Mario Balotelli looks set for a move to Switzerland

Mario Balotelli's nomadic career looks set to take him to the Swiss Super League.

The Liverpool striker has not featured for the club under new manager Jurgen Klopp. He has been told he is free to leave the club, and FC Sion looks his most-likely destination.

The Sun have reported Sion President, Christian Constantin's quotes when speaking to the Swiss website, Ticino News about a potential signing. "I can confirm that we’re speaking, negotiations are underway. Of course, I can’t say now if it will be successful or not."

Balotelli was on loan with AC Milan last season. He only scored a single goal, in 20 appearances.

He may have been one of the stars of Wales' run to the semi-finals of Euro 2016, but Hal Robson-Kanu is still without a club. The striker left Reading at the end of last season, when his contract expired.

The Transfer Window closes next week, and The South Wales Evening Echo claim that the 27-year-old will leave it until the final moment to make his decision. Swansea City remain the favourites to sign the striker.

Stoke City look like they are in pole position to sign Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho on loan. The French striker has been told he is allowed to leave Anfield temporarily.

Sakho missed out on the Europa League final and Euro 2016, due to a failed drugs test, but that result has since been rescinded, with the defender free to continue with his career. The Daily Telegraph have stated the Stoke manager Mark Hughes is the first manager to make an enquiry about the French star.
