Transfer Talk: Joe Hart set to leave City as Chelsea plan spending spree

It was a weekend packed full of actual football, but thankfully that's out of the way now and we can get back to the real business of transfer speculation.

The big story that sprung up out of the weekend was the fact that Joe Hart was left out of the starting side for Pep Guardiola's first game in charge of Manchester City. The England international endured a pretty miserable time of it at the Euros this summer, and many have speculated that the former Barcelona manager might want a different style of 'keeper at the back who is more comfortable passing the ball.

Personal terms have apparently already been agreed with Claudio Bravo, which could spell the end of Hart's time at Manchester City. Although Guardiola was also interested in bringing Marc Andre Ter Stegen, Barcelona decided that since the German is nine years younger than his team-mate they would rather part with Bravo if they have to lose one of their goalkeepers.

Although there are few destinations that Hart could end up in the Premier League, it seems that Everton are interested, while Sevilla are also rumoured to be looking at bringing him to La Liga.

Chelsea are set to throw their money around once again according to The Sun, as they are lining up three deals that they hope to get over the line before the transfer window closes. Totaling £140 million, the signings of Romelu Lukaku, Kalidou Koulibaly and Thiago Maia would complete the squad that Antonio Conte is looking for.

The biggest chunk of that money would be spent on Romelu Lukaku, as Chelsea are finally ready to meet Everton's £75 million valuation of the striker. Napoli defender Koulibaly has told his club that he wants a move to the Premier League, while Maia is currently on international duty with Brazil at the Olympics, but is close to securing a £15 million switch from Santos.

Arsenal's defensive problems were laid bare by a seven goal thriller at The Emirates on Sunday afternoon, as they had to start the game with Rob Holding and Callum Chambers as their inexperienced centre-back pairing. However, they also have plenty of problems up front also, where they lack a player who can lead the line effectively. Their hopes of signing Alexandre Lacazette to fill that gap were dealt a blow on the weekend according to The Sun. The Lyon star scored a hat-trick on the weekend and then stated that he was happy at the club, and isn't interested in moving.

And the rest: Jose Mourinho has insisted that Juan Mata does have a future at Manchester United after he scored the opener for his side against Bournemouth on the weekend; Liverpool are interested in signing Real Madrid's Martin Odegaard, but West Ham are also poised to make an offer; Tottenham's DeAndre Yedlin is wanted by Sunderland, Hull and Derby; West Brom have tabled a bid of £11.5 million for Jeffrey Schlupp from Leicester; Everton have put in a bid for Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour; Marouane Fellaini and John Obi Mikel could be on their way to Galatasaray; Yannick Bolasie has reportedly said his goodbyes to his Crystal Palace team-mates as his move to Everton looks to be done; West Brom are still trying to negotiate a deal for Liverpool's Christian Benteke, but the £32 million price tag is proving a sticking point; and finally, Inter Milan are rumoured to be interested in signing Alexis Sanchez somehow.
