A match between the Western New York Flash and Seattle Reign FC of the National Women's Soccer League on Saturday night was played at Frontier Field that Sports Illustrated claim was just 100 yards long by 58 yards wide.
The Flash's home stadium was being used for a TLC concert. Both sides play in the National Women's Soccer League, which is the top league in female football in the USA and it has been widely condemned as unfair and indicative of the respect women's football gets.
Reports suggest that a pitch must be at least 70 yards wide but an exception was granted because of the concert at Rhinos Stadium.
Things in Rochester are...snug. Apparently, approximately 58x100. #NWSL #WNYvSEA pic.twitter.com/u0m5lSzw7p

Many prominent female football players, including Carli Lloyd, took to twitter to declare their disappointment and embarrassment at the pitch and the situation.
@JeffKassouf this is shocking and embarrassing.
