While the Premier League was serving up headaches for Pep Guardiola and humiliation for Jose Mourinho, there's been plenty of football on the fields of Europe this weekend.
And some pretty interesting results if truth be told.
Without a rejuvenated Mario Balotelli, Nice just keep on winning in France.
A 4-2 victory over Metz away from home puts them four clear of Monaco at the top - and presumably Paris Saint-Germain should Ligue 1's dominant force win their game in hand against Marseille in Le Classique on Sunday night.
And Germany's most-hated club, RB Leipzig are up to second in the Bundesliga after a 3-1 home win over traditional power Werder Bremen to sit just two points off the mighty Bayern Munich at the top - in their first season at this level.
Leipzig's unpopularity with traditionalists stems from the fact that they are owned by Red Bull, in a country where supporters have a greater deal of ownership power than in many other European countries.
And as off 7.15pm Irish time, Sevilla are top of La Liga after a 1-0 home win over Diego Simeone's title-challenging Atletico Madrid.

Ex-Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City midfielder Steven N'Zonzi scored the only goal with 17 minutes to go to put the Andalusians top of the pile, although a Real Madrid victory over Athletic Bilbao would put Zinedine Zidane's side back on top by close of play on Sunday.
Celta Vigo also hammered Deportivo de la Coruna in the Galician derby which is the biggest fixture in Spain's North-West.
Iago Aspas' Liverpool "career" might not be memorable but he's nearly always shone for Celta and did so again with a double.
Elsewhere, on a weekend when city rivals AC Milan defeated leaders Juventus thanks to a wonderful Manuel Locatelli strike, Inter Milan have lost their third league match in a row.
This time it was a 2-1 loss to Atalanta but it ramps up the pressure on manager Frank De Boer, who only replaced Roberto Mancini in the summer.
On-loan Manchester City keeper Joe Hart could enjoy a point at home to Lazio as his Torino side equalised late on to force a 2-2 draw thanks to Adem Ljajic's stoppage time penalty, while Nikola Kalinic's hat-trick led Fiorentina to a 5-3 win in a thriller away to Cagliari.
And in the Netherlands, league leaders Feyenoord remain unbeaten as Dirk Kuyt's equaliser held Ajax to a draw in the Dutch version of the Clasico - aptly named De Klassieker.
Feyenoord are top of the table, five points clear of Ajax and the Rotterdam club are hoping to end an 18-year wait for the Eredivisie title in May.
