In the wake of the news that Manchester United and England legend Nobby Stiles has passed away, Off The Ball looks at some of the big moments in his career, through images.
Stiles won two First Division titles and a European Cup with United in 1968, as well as a World Cup alongside former Irish boss Jack Charlton in 1966.
He formed a lifelong friendship with another international footballing legend, John Giles, while the two were at Manchester United.
He will forever be immortalised for his contributions to English football through images like these:
