As part of our Spring Season of Drama on Newstalk, PPI-nominated producer Brian Gallagher’s latest work is a radio play that looks at the colorful world of professional soccer.
Starring Mark O’Regan, Stephen Jones and Marion O’Dwyer, Midfielder is the story of a former player Billy Murray. With wry humour Billy recalls the social and work adjustments he had to make on going to Seventies England, to follow his dream of being a professional footballer.
LISTEN LIVE ON AIR: Midfielder will be broadcast live on Newstalk 106-108fm on Saturday 22nd April at 10pm, and repeated on Sunday 23rd April at 8am.
