Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has confirmed he has tested positive for Covid-19.
Aguero has been self isolating in recent days after being confirmed as a close contact, before revealing today he has now tested positive and is displaying some symptoms of the virus.
Speaking on social media, Aguero says:
"After a close contact, I've been self-isolating and the latest test I took was positive for COVID 19. I had some symptoms and I'm following doctor's orders for recovery. Take care, everyone!"

A combination of injury and Covid-19 regulations mean Aguero has played just nine times this season, with his last appearance being a short cameo off the bench in Man City's 3-1 win against Chelsea on January 3.
Just last night, manager Pep Guardiola stressed the need to get Sergio Aguero back in the City team as soon as possible, although they will now be without the Argentinean for another couple of weeks while he isolates.
Despite his absence, City have moved right back into title contention in the last two months, with their nine-game winning run in all competitions moving them up to second in the Premier League table, and into yet another League Cup final.
Guardiola added: "Sergio is a player who can create for himself and win a game by himself but he has not been with us for a long time.
"When we didn't have him we could have started complaining but we did completely the opposite.
"We want him back as soon as possible. But at the same time, we have to go forward and we have done that because of the quality and skills that we have."
City are away to Cheltenham Town in the FA Cup fourth round this weekend, before taking on West Brom and Sheffield United next week in the Premier League.
