Joey Barton is back training with former club Burnley, weeks after his contract was cancelled by Rangers.
The midfielder left the Scottish Premiership team earlier in November, two months a training ground row with a team-mate in the wake of the 5-1 Old Firm derby defeat to Celtic.
Barton only departed Sean Dyche's side in the summer after they won promotion to the Premier League.
The Burnely boss says he's been very up front about the situation.
"I said last week if he needed us and wanted to come in he'd be more than welcome, which he is. He has been training with us for a number of days now," he said.
"He's not with the first team. He's doing background fitness work with the sports science team. That's an ongoing thing until things change in the future.
"He's just enjoying being back in [at Burnley] and getting himself fit. He was generally fit of course but he is just topping up."
