Brendan Rodgers says he can't comment on rumours linking him to the manager's job at Manchester United because it's 'something that's not real'.
The Leicester City boss dismissed suggestions that he could be poised for a move to Old Trafford at a news conference today.
The Foxes are looking ahead to a meeting with Chelsea this weekend.
Rodgers' name has been mentioned as a potential successor to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United, if the Norweigan was to be relieved of his duties.
When asked about the speculation, the Antrim native was forthright in his response.
"Firstly, it’s really disrespectful for you [the reporter] to ask the question when there is a manager in place - a good manager and a good man - who's working at the club," he said.
"And secondly, I can’t really comment on it because it’s something that's not real.
"I’m here as the Leicester City manager; proud to be here, privileged to be here and fully committed to the players, the club and the ownership.
"And that's about it, really. All the other noise around that, is something we can't control."
The former Liverpool boss added that all he was focused on was this Saturday's joust with Chelsea.
"The only other club I’m thinking about is Chelsea and getting ready for that.
"It’s obviously frustrating for supporters and also my players, if anyone is to read anything out there, then of course that can destabilise [us].
"But from a personal perspective, it's something that it's in the modern game.
"Even much more so now - lots of speculation, lots of gossip - it's all part of the game, but something I have no focus on whatsoever."
Rodgers will be hopeful that Leicester can become more consistent over the busy winter period.
The club are 12th in the Premier League with just four wins from their first 11 matches.
