Rodgers reckons Reds have got their mojo back

Brendan Rodgers says Liverpool have finally rediscovered the winning formula which brought them to within a whisker of the title last season.

The Reds boss saw his side swat away Swansea 4-1 at Anfield last night.

Alberto Moreno, Adam Lallana (2) and a Jonjo Shelvey own goal against his former club put Liverpool in control despite Gylfi Sigurdsson forcing a response for Swansea when the hosts were 2-0 up.

“I think the last two to three weeks, the performance level has been much more what we were over the course of the last 18 months,” said Rodgers.

“There’s been a lot of hours going in to try and find a tactical idea to try and get back to that.

“I think the shape of the team causes other teams problems. And when you have the players that want to go and press the ball and work as hard as they did tonight - and then they've got the quality to back that up - you can be a really hard team to play against and that’s how it’s been for us.

“It was a real dominant performance.”

Rodgers was first asked if he felt Liverpool’s new 3-4-3 formation was behind the revival.
