Ireland's start to the European Championship this time around was a lot better than it was four years ago, as they managed a 1-1 draw with Sweden.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Jeff Hendrick admitted that the atmosphere at the game had given him goosebumps, in particular as the national anthem struck up.
Having grown up practically as neighbours, Brady admitted that it was extra special to be able to take to the pitch for the national side with a close friend in Hendrick. The two normally room together, and while they haven't been this time around, Hendrick admitted that it doesn't stop Brady "still wanders in and uses the toothpaste".

Turning to football, Brady spoke about his growing confidence in his own ability to cope with any challenge now that he's plying his trade as a defender, rather than further up the pitch.
"I am a bit more comfortable [...] we learn every game we play, I've played another full season at left back this season and I feel more than comfortable playing there now."
Looking ahead to the type of player he may have to mark as they get set to face Belgium on Saturday, the Dubliner was not overly worried about coming up against Kevin de Bruyne or Yannick Carrasco.
"There's not too much I can change now, I know what type of players the Belgians have, they've got some top class players. It will be my job to stop whoever I'm up against, and I'm looking forward to the challenge."
Hendrick also looked ahead to the next game, suggesting that the mood in the camp was good despite the concession of a goal that allowed Sweden back into the game.
"We've got to take some confidence from that game, the way we played, we were unlucky not to get the three points [...] so we've got to take the positives in and make sure were ready for the game. Even thought they got beaten, it's going to be a really tough game, but hopefully they're thinking the same looking at us."
Rumours that both Eden Hazard and De Bruyne may be carrying knocks have not been given too much focus in the Irish camp either, as Hendrick added that the options their opponents have in the squad will mean that they can't be too confident: "they still have other players who can come in and do a good job. We still have to focus on our game plan and make sure we're right."
