United We Stand editor Andy Mitten joined Friday's OTB AM to talk Manchester United and he also gave his thoughts on Marcus Rashford's recent performances.
The 23-year-old scored twice as Man United beat Sheffield United 3-2 at Bramall Lane to move up to sixth in the Premier League table.
"He was the best player on the pitch last night," Mitten said.
"Watching him run at players, I’m thinking this is a Manchester lad, a United fan who’s come through the youth system and this is everything that Manchester United should be.
"He’s got everything. He’s versatile, he’s got the pace and he can finish."
Mitten was asked if he would put Rashford in the bracket of world-class players.
"I don’t think he’s in that top, top category and I think he knows that and he knows that he’s still got to improve and still got to score more goals," he said.
"I think he’s got the ingredients to get there though."
Mitten recalled a conversation that he had with a well-known former United player two years ago.
"This former player had just had lunch with Pep Guardiola and Guardiola told him that Rashford was the only player that he would take from Old Trafford.
"I know that Barcelona were absolutely interested in taking him in February, March, April of last year. That was before Barcelona imploded."
Not only is Rashford an excellent footballer, he's "clearly an incredible human as well" with the charity work that he has done in recent months, according to Mitten.
Some though have quite ludicrously questioned if Rashford should be spending more time focusing on football.
"I’ve never heard one example of him not being professional," Mitten said.
"You’ll always find what you’re looking for online but in the main, United fans have been very pleased with Rashford as an individual but also as a footballer.
"As for him not being focused on his football, absolutely not. He’s a clean living hard-working professional lad."
