Rangers remain in a state of farce on Saturday morning after announcing Mark Warburton has resigned as the club's manager.
On Friday night, the Scottish Premiership giants claimed that the former Brentford manager has resigned less than 48 hours before their Scottish Cup Fourth Round clash. Scottish Championship high-flyers Greenock Morton play Rangers in Ibrox on Sunday.
The club announced that it had accepted the resignation of Warburton, his assistant David Weir and the head of recruitment Frank McParland, late of Friday night.

Within 20 minutes of Rangers' announcement, reports emerged that Warburton was unaware of his apparent resignation.

Rangers added in their statement that the trio, "wished to resign their positions and leave the Club", but it now looks like the resignations were accepted days later.
Warburton claims he is still manager of the club. It's a situation that looks like it could run for days and perhaps weeks to come.
Rangers' Under-20s coach Graeme Murty is expected to take charge of the team on in interim basis.
