PREMIER LEAGUE LIVE SCORES: United vs City

After Manchester United suffered a disappointing exit from the Champions League mid-week, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will be looking to bounce back with a win over their city rivals this evening.

Somewhat unusual in recent years, United come into this evening's game one point ahead of Pep Guardiola's City in the Premier League table.

To keep up to date with all the action, team news and goals as they (hopefully) go in, stick with us here at OTB Sports:

Earlier this week on OTB Sports, football writer Daniel Harris joined us on OTB AM to discuss a difficult few days for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Manchester United.

"I felt that David de Gea should have been dropped after the Spurs game," Harris admitted, disappointed with how the Spaniard has been performing for United this season.

"If you have a manager who's brief is to build a team, de Gea is not going to be a part of that because he is miles past his best and he seems unlikely to get it back.

"United should really have moved on from de Gea when he was making mistakes that cost them getting into the Champions League, not this Champions League but the one before."

Meanwhile, in the immediate aftermath of United's disappointing defeat to RB Leipzig that confirmed the club's Champions League exit, Andy Mitten joined OTB AM to share his frustration.

Mitten believes that the focus will be on Solskjaer, as his 3-5-2 formation did nothing to stifle Leipzig's attack with United looking ragged and bereft of ideas in the opening half an hour.

"He gets credit when things go right, he should receive criticism when things go wrong. He set that team up and that setup didn't work.

"Some of United's best performances have come in that formation, such as against PSG away, but those players looked like they hadn't played together last night.

"RB were very good, but when you look at the space between Aaron Wan-Bissaka and [Angeliño], it was Sunday League stuff. It was awful to watch."
