Chiedozie Ogbene has an assist and a goal against Sutton United in the EFL Cup Final.
Belgium. Sutton United. Chiedozie Ogbene doesn't care who it is, he's scoring goals and getting assists.
Rotherham were on the verge of losing today's EFL Trophy Final. It was deep into injury time at the end of the second half when Ogbene picked the ball up. He was just outside the box. He wasn't in a shooting position, but could turn to cross the ball into the box. His cross was deflected but not to safety.
Instead, it wound up at the back post where his teammate, Jordi Osei-Tutu, smacked the ball back towards the top corner.
That goal (and assist for Ogbene) came in the 96th minute of the game. Or rather, to be more specific, the 90+6th minute of the game. Ogbene scored himself in the 96th minute of the game during extra time.

This time he picked the ball up outside the box and was in a shooting position. He drifted into the space between the defence and midfield and was picked out by a teammate. A tired backline dropped off of him to let him take a touch before he unleashed a fierce strike past the outstretched hand of the goalkeeper.
It's a screamer from a player who is simply too good for the level he's playing at.
Rotherham manager Paul Warne was unhappy with how much Ogbene played for Ireland last week. He played both games, against Belgium and Lithuania, but clearly it hasn't impacted him since he's the best player on the pitch late in the game against Sutton United.
"There's nothing wrong with celebrating." - David Connolly.
