Hindsight is a wonderful thing. But was David Moyes ever the right fit for Manchester United?
Mark Ogden of The Telegraph wrote an insightful piece about the short-lived Moyes era and the signs really weren't good as early as pre-season.
"He went to Man United and from day one you got the sense that the whole club overwhelmed him - the size of the club," Ogden told us tonight, explaining that Moyes was taken aback by the frenzy surrounding the club on the summer tour.
But the "old-school" Moyes never settled and Ogden believes that he never grasped the off-the-field aspect of the job including the external and internal media and the power of the dressing room.
Ogden also had plenty of revelations tonight. They include Man United's midfielders not being allowed to get ahead of the ball and Moyes' many moments of indecision which had already earned him the nickname "dithering Dave" at Everton.
He also touched on the moments when the relationship between Moyes and the players cracked and how they were "over-worked".
