Off the Ball confirms three-year Premier League deal

Newstalk 106-108fm are delighted to announce a three-year extension to their live commentary agreement with the Premier League.

Newstalk's Off the Ball will continue to carry live matches every Sunday during the season with the most relevant co-commentators alongside the station’s expert match commentators Dave McIntyre and Nathan Murphy. The new agreement will bring the association between Newstalk and the Premier League into a 15th season by its completion.

Familiar Off the Ball voices including Kevin Kilbane, Kenny Cunningham, Keith Andrews, Ray Houghton and Stephen Hunt will once again bring their expertise to Newstalk listeners, for both the live matches and right across the week and the Newstalk schedule.

Newstalk 106-108fm Sports Editor, Adrian Barry, said: "The Premier League has long been and continues to be at the core of our 25 hours of live Off the Ball every week. The seven-day Off the Ball offering continues to push the boundaries of sports broadcasting in Ireland and following a sensational Premier League season, we're ready to go again come August.”

Led by show anchors Ger Gilroy and Joe Molloy, the Off the Ball team delivers the most relevant and credible football analysis and commentary in the Irish market and the entire team are already laying the ground for the brand new season.

Premier League Director of Broadcasting, Paul Molnar, said: “We are very pleased that Newstalk will continue to broadcast radio commentary of the Premier League to fans across the Republic of Ireland. They are long term partners of the Premier League and have an excellent track record of making our competition available through audio commentary. We look forward to working with them for the next three seasons.”
