Novak Djokovic suffered a shock defeat to Sam Querrey at Wimbledon today and has suggested he is ready to take a break from the sport.
Aiming to win the first calender-year Grand Slam in 47 years, Djokovic saw his chances of that shattered at a rain-soaked Wimbledon.
The 29-year-old was gracious in defeat but is obviously struggling with the pressure that comes with competing at such a high level for a prolonged period of time.
He suggested, now that the hopes of a Grand Slam this year are over, that he might take a break from the sport.
"I'm going to obviously pay more attention to those things [like famly] than tennis in the next period. I need it," he said.
"It's been a very successful year so far, but very long one, exhausting one, in every sense of that word.
"I just need some rest. To get away from tennis."
