Moussa Sissoko charged with violent conduct after elbow on Ireland's Harry Arter

Tottenham's Moussa Sissoko has been charged with violent conduct following an apparent elbow on Bournemouth and Ireland midfielder Harry Arter on Saturday afternoon.

The incident was missed by match officials but caught on video and will now be reviewed panel of three former match officials. Off the ball incidents which are not seen at the time by the match officials are referred to a three man panel.

"Each panel member will review the video footage independently of one another to determine whether they consider it a sending-off offence," the FA said a statement this afternoon.

They added: "For retrospective action to be taken, and an FA charge to follow, the decision of the panel must be unanimous."

The Tottenham forward was involved in what appeared to be an intentional elbow on Arter in the 79th minute of the game.

He has until 6pm on Tuesday 25 October to reply.
