Mino Raiola dubs Guardiola's footballing style "boring" ahead of Manchester derby

With the Manchester Derby around the corner, Mino Raiola has shared his opinion on the new man in the hotseat at the Etihad stadium.

Given that Manchester United signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba, all players that Raiola represents, it comes as little surprise that he was not about to declare his love for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.

Speaking on Spanish radio station COPE about the £110 million move that saw Pogba swap Turin for Manchester, Raiola said that the money was not the deciding factor: "the transfer record is just a detail, an important detail, but to me it's not important."

"It's like trying to sell a precious painting; you don't sell a precious painting, someone buys it," he added.

Turning his attention to the Manchester derby, Raiola stated that he was not a fan of Guardiola, given what happened to Zlatan Ibrahimovic during time at the Camp Nou.

"I don't like him as a man, he's not my type of guy," said Raiola. "I don't like him, I've never liked him. I like people who have a different type of character to Guardiola.

"People always ask me about this and I always respond honestly. Everyone knows what happened with Zlatan in Barcelona... I don't hate him because no one deserves to be hated, hate is a very negative thing [...] it consumes you."

Speaking about the style of football that has made Guardiola a household name and that Manchester City fans will hope to see in the coming months and years, Raiola said that it wasn't really his cup of tea.

"He's a good coach, but his style of play is very boring to me. It's not my type of football, but everyone has their own tastes."

When asked if his animosity towards Guardiola would stop him from doing business, however, he was very clear that he wouldn't let a personal feud like that get in the way of doing a deal for one of his athletes.

"I'm a professional, my personal likes and dislikes can't enter into it or block the career of one of my athletes," said Raiola. "But I don't think Guardiola would ever sit down at the table with me, I don't think he has the cojones."

The news will hardly come as a surprise to the Manchester City manager, given Raiola has spoken out about him before, while the Italian seems to be making enemies all over the Premier League after his recent comments about Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Who's next on the Raiola hit list, Tony Pulis?
