Arsenal were not happy with the manner in which they conceded the opening goal of their Women's Super League clash against Manchester City.
Table-toppers Arsenal travelled to City as the fourth-placed Manchester side were hoping to get their eighth win of the season.
While City were the dominant side throughout the match, Arsenal managed to keep a clean sheet for 65 minutes. That was until a pass across the field struck the referee before finding Georgia Stanway out wide.
No whistle was blown and Stanway found Jess Hemp open, who crossed the ball into the box and the awaiting Khadija Shaw who found the back of the net.
Understandably, Arsenal were not happy to see the goal stand, as, in most cases the, referee should have halted play as soon as the ball struck her.
However, the referee allowed the play to continue, and the goal stood.

Jess Park came close to scoring the opener five minutes before the incident involving the referee eventually led to the goal.
However, a brilliant save by Arsenal's Manuela Zinsberger denied the City striker the opener.

It was not the end, though, as Arsenal got their revenge in injury time. Tobin Heath managed to salvage the draw in the 92nd minute with a brilliant shot from the corner of the box.

Katie McCabe's Arsenal side are narrowly atop the table, with a game in hand over Manchester United, just two points clear.
However, after the controversial 1-1 draw on Sunday, they will be hoping to hold off United and Chelsea, who are both nipping at their heals, with Chelsea having a game in hand on Arsenal.
