Manchester United were far too good for Newcastle United at Old Trafford despite a slow start from the hosts, winning the game 4-1 in the end.
The Magpies came out on top last time the sides met, with Matty Longstaff's goal the decider in a 1-0 win at St. James' Park back in October.
However, another win for Steve Bruce's side looked well out of reach by half time.
Newcastle started the game well with Dwight Gayle missing an early opportunity for the visitors after a lovely ball from Joelinton.
It didn’ take long for the Magpies to make up for the miss though with Matty Longstaff again scoring the opening goal after 17 minutes.
Manchester United seemed to wake up after that though and it wasn’t long before they equalised through the boot of Anthony Martial.
Martin Dubravka got both hands to the ball and really should have saved it but let the ball slip through his fingers and into the back of the net.

United pushed on from there and got their second goal of the evening after a great strike from 18-year-old Mason Greenwood.
The ball took a slight deflection off of Federico Fernandez leaving Dubravka with no chance of stopping the powerful shot.
The Red Devils continued to grow in confidence from there on in with a lovely cross from Aaron Wan-Bissaka found Marcus Rashfrod who duly headed the ball for his side’s third goal.
After a shaky start, United were well and truly in control by half-time, leading proceedings by three goals to one.
Man United didn’t let up after the break with replacement Paul Pogba almost getting on the scoreboard after a strike from 30 yards out curled wide of its mark.
Newcastle’s Sean Longstaff then played provider for Martial, unintentionally passing the ball to the French forward who chipped the ball over Dubravka for his second goal and his side’s fourth.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side controlled the game from then on out, with the fourth goal putting the result well beyond doubt.
The home side created a few half chances in the closing stages but appeared to be happy to hold onto their three-goal lead which sees them rise to seventh in the Premier League table.
