Jurgen Klopp says he is relaxed about Mo Salah's Liverpool contract situation.
The Egyptian star has less than 18 months left on his current Anfield deal.
Just yesterday, Salah told GQ Magazine that he wasn't requesting 'crazy stuff' in a new contract.
It's believed he has requested an increase in the value of his deal to somewhere between £300000 and £400000 a week.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow's Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal, Klopp answered questions on the issue.
"I know that Mo wants to stay. We want Mo to stay. That's where we are. It takes time," he told journalists.
"I think it is in a good place. I'm very positive about it. The fans are not as nervous as you (reporters) are.
"They know the club and know the people dealing with things here. We cannot say anything about it."
Liverpool have had issues with Covid in recent weeks - but it later emerged a number of cases turned out to be false positives.
Among the games postponed was the first leg of the League Cup semi-final, which was scheduled for last week.
"What do you think I mean when I say 'false positives'?" Klopp said when asked about the Covid-19 situation.
"It's a positive test result and when you are able to do a re-test, one day later, you get a false positive test, as the result was negative.
"So then, third test but you cannot use the players. They are the rules."
After scoring his first senior goal in the FA Cup at the weekend, Kaide Gordon has garnered plenty of attention.
Klopp says the youngster could feature as he looks to earn more first-team opportunities.
"He had an exceptional pre-season, then a little drop in form which is normal at his age but an outstanding talent," Klopp explained.
"If he is fit, he is always on my mind. The Shrewsbury game helped a lot, proper adult football and he dealt with it. It's important.
"We train and educate them and get them all the info we have on football. Step by step, that's how football education works."
"We won it with five Academy lads involved, so that is big for us. It's really nice, I felt really good after the game because of so many nice stories."
