In the aftermath of Saturday's 2-1 defeat of Aston Villa at Anfield, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was left shocked by the extent of his team's poor home form this season.
A win that will do Liverpool's push for a top-4 Premier League spot no harm, Trent Alexander-Arnold's late goal on Saturday afternoon broke an unlikely run of bad form for the club.
Despite a generally immaculate record at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp, this most recent win against Aston Villa was Liverpool's first at their home ground since December 16th.
Since defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 on the other side of Christmas, Klopp's team have recorded a shocking run of eight league games without a win at Anfield.
As he met with Liverpool's in-house media team after ending that run on Saturday, the German appeared to be quite surprised things had gotten so bad.
Before the interview officially gets underway, an exchange with one of the crew members off-camera captures Klopp's disbelief that it had been so long without a league win at Anfield.
"When was the last game we won and we had an interview? Here!" he asked those recording footage for the latest edition of Inside Anfield.
"Against Spurs before Christmas," came the reply that sent Klopp laughing in shock. "Before Christmas?!... Really?! It was Spurs?!"
A sharp departure from the 68-game unbeaten streak that preceded Liverpool's 1-0 defeat to Burnley earlier this year, Jurgen Klopp seems quite calm about the whole thing.
Defeated 3-1 by Real Madrid in the first-leg of their Champions League quarter-final against the Spanish club last week, the German will be hoping that his Liverpool team can overcome that setback in the return game on Wednesday evening.
