To say that there will be tension when new United and City managers Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola begin sharing the metropolis of Manchester is an understatement.
Given their personal emnity, the Manchester derbies will be very interesting indeed this coming Premier League season.
But Jose and Pep will go head-to-head much earlier than that with a pre-season derby taking place in China.
United will be in China for part of their pre-season commitments.
On July 22nd, they take on Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai, followed by Manchester City in Beijing three days later in the International Champions Cup.
United also announced today that they will take on Turkey's Galatasaray - who have been linked with a move for Ireland and Derby midfielder Jeff Hendrick - on July 30th in Gothenburg, Sweden next month after the China tour.
In good news for Man United today, Zlatan Ibrahimovic confirmed that he is moving to the club. Along with Mourinho, he has also had his battles with Guardiola.
In his only season at Barcelona, the maverick Swede fell foul of the manager, declaring that the Catalan coach "is not a man" and also branded him a "spineless coward" in his autobiography.
His agent Mino Raiola has also recently suggested that the ex-PSG and Inter Milan forward "wants revenge on Guardiola".
