Former Ireland international Jon Walters has responded to Roy Keane's comment's from OTB's Cadbury Roadshow with Roy Keane and Gary Neville.

The former Ireland captain called Walters a bluffer, said the former Stoke player is only capable of playing a certain standard of football and criticised him for speaking out publicly about family bereavements.

"Listen, I know all about Jon Walters. I know all about him. Bluffer. Again, talks a good game. Then does the circuit, goes on the TV. How harsh he was treated by me, he's crying on the TV, family situation, he's the only one whose... do me a favour."

Walter's responded to Keane's criticism and comments regarding his family on BBC's 'Football Focus' on Saturday afternoon.

Former Burnley striker Walters says he doesn't understand why people listen to Roy Keane's opinions. He says the former Ireland assistant manager's opinion does not bother him in the slightest.

"Honestly, I don't know why people listen to what he has to say sometimes,' said the ex-Ireland forward.

Walters went on to add that he believes Keane has a personal problem against him but says that is not reciprocated.

"It doesn't bother me one single bit what he has to say. Obviously, I bother him a little bit,' said Walters.

The BBC pundit believes he used the media platform for a positive to help others going through similar struggles in their personal life.

"As an ex-player now, you have a certain media platform; and rather than have a platform to take digs at people or self-promote yourself, it was more of a case of me trying to help people but as I've said if someone wants to take it down that line, that's their prerogative - It's not something I'll do,' said the former forward.

Walter, who holds 54 caps for the Republic of Ireland, said he approached Keane in the Irish set-up after a disagreement that occurred when Keane was the manager of Ipswich.

Walters reiterated that he doesn't hold any grudges against the Corkman.

"I don't hold grudges. It happened at Ipswich to make up, and I'm the one who approached him in the Ireland camp to make up. Each person is different, each person is unique but that's just me.

You know, we'll see down the line."
